RPP Type Timing Belts
VARIBELT*VX® RPP Type Timing Belts are best known to be high precision and high power belts. When compared to other Imperial timing belts, they can convey more power within the same width or can enable the user to reduce the width to transmit the same amount of power.
The most differentiating feature of VARIBELT*VX® RPP Type Timing Belts is the Parabolic tooth structure which is not only designed to eliminate belt slip or jump but also to reduce noise.
The parabolic tooth profile has a progressive pressure angle, allowing to have a taller tooth with the same pitch length, which brings the following advantages;
• The friction between the pulley and the belt and the wear and heat caused by the torque peaks, is reduced
• Higher power transmission is enabled
• Noise is reduced
• Belt jump and slippage is eliminated
• More resistance to tooth shear is achieved
• Less pre-tension is achieved
• Temperature range: -30oC to +100oC
The groove on top of the tooth brings;
- More precise sitting of the belt in the pulley groove 2. Smoother engagement

VARIBELT*VX® RPP Type Timing Belts are designed to be interchangeable with existing deep groove profiles and to run on pulleys according to ISO 13050. Aramid Cord construction is available.
